1강 문법. Credit Cards

1. 가정법 과거는 시제는 과거형이지만 현재 사실의 반대를 의미하므로 현재로 해석한다.

How would you feel if someone offered you a card ...
(만약 누군가가 당신에게 ...카드를 제공한다면 어떤 느낌일까?)

2. 목적격 관계 대명사는 생략이 가능하다. All (that) you would have to do is to sign your name ...

3. it이 가주어, to 부정사구가 진주어를 나타낸다.
It is easy to continue to use them even when we do not have the monet to pay for that.

4. 선행사를 포함한 관계대명사로서 what(=the thing(s) that)이 사용된다.
What happened to the Cathcarts has happened to many other people.
(캣카트댁에 일어났던 일이 많은 다른 이들에게도 일어났다.)

 

5. 과거분사가 앞의 명사구를 수식하는 형용사적 기능을 한다.
They have nothing left over to save. (저축하기 위해 남겨질 것이 없다.)
